Artist Statement

I've lived in San Francisco for a quarter century and every city administration has promised to solve the challenges of affordable housing and chronic homelessness, but none has been able to do so. Local change is great, but if city government can't get it done, then perhaps we need federal programs like universal housing to swoop in. Let's make shelter for all a priority under the Green New Deal. This design is a digital collage made from pieces of my analog collages, which contain paint, paper, found debris and recycled materials. - Holly Savas
