Description

"This piece was one of many that became part of a large project I looked at during University on feminism. The tattoo's on the arm of the woman each represent a different women's group or organisation from different points in history that I designed in a separate part of the project. The illustration was made from a photograph of one of my friends that I dressed up, asked her to assume the position of the famous Rosie the Riveter and applied temporary tattoo's of my designs to her arm to get the shot I was after." -John

My name is John I live and work in London as a graphic designer. I attended UWE in Bristol, studying graphic design and graduated in 2014.

A collection of designs inspired by the iconic “We Can Do It” poster of the 1940's - one of the most famous posters of the last 100 years that has remained in the zeitgeist and whose message of equality and worker empowerment is still quite relevant today. Our new collection of designs depict and celebrate modern-day workers (women and men alike) who keep the country running and rarely receive the recognition they deserve.

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The matte paper and high quality of inks make for a vibrant image which looks great both framed, and au-naturel. Printed in Los Angeles, CA, on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper, heavyweight stock, high color gamut, using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. Framed posters offer the same, museum-quality printed poster, but wrapped in a protective black frame. The frame is lightweight and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector, so it won't break in the mail.
