Artist Statement

When making this piece I really wanted to show how much healthier our society could be if we all committed to doing what is best for everyone, and most efficient. I imagine cities brimming with greenery that serves the dual purpose of keeping farming operations small and local whenever possible, and cleaning the air. I see people putting their prejudice aside and creating an inclusive and neighborly culture. And of course, renewable energy sources would be a huge part of this ideal civilization. I crammed as much of those ideals into a digital painting as I could, and did my best to channel the art style of posters from the New Deal era. - Stephanie Crane
