She spent six years working at the corporate offices of the world's largest craft retailer, and two years at a local arts and crafts publisher, before starting her own company, Ten Two Studios, where she now designs products and teaches online classes for mixed media artists.

One of the great joys in my life has been growing my own vegetables in the backyard garden. I've been a godmother to several friends' gardens, teaching them what I've learned about raising food in the inhospitable conditions where we live.
