I am an illustrator based in Austin, Texas with a particular love for dry-brush gouache painting. Both my life and work are heavily influenced by the aesthetics of the 1940's, '50s and '60s. I fancy myself a collector of memories as much as a collector of things, and enjoy bringing this sense of nostalgia to my audience.

Artist Statement

I think it's important for Americans to understand that turning our country towards a future that embraces renewable energy sources and care for the environment is truly the only way we get to have a future, at all. These changes, if implemented properly, don't have to be a scary thing. They aren't going to ruin the beauty of the place we call home and they aren't going to leave people behind. We can do this in a way that supports jobs, supports communities, and supports the environment. The Green New Deal is working towards that future, which we need so desperately. Our country has made big changes in the past, and we have thrived from them. Let's do it again today, for ourselves and for our home. - Caitlin Alexander
