I live in a big city and when my kids were younger, we'd visit parks in different neighborhoods just to change things up once in awhile. Some of our urban parks and playgrounds were in great shape, with clean facilities and working structures. Some of our city's parks were pretty run down and dirty, and it was sad to see that no one wanted to go there. Years later, and with the help of a city bond and taxpayers, most of our city parks are being revitalized in a way that's good for the environment, good for people and good for the city. It makes me happy that our parks are filling up again and it gives me hope that one day, all of America's run down urban areas will be filled with cheerful, green and clean parks! - Holly Savas
