Artist Statement

After the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, a small snippet of text comparing gun laws with abortion laws swept the internet. While the author of the text is unknown, it is a summary of an article entitled \"What if gun laws were like abortion laws?\" by William Hamby for Examiner.com. I decided to visualize the small snippet of text to help make the amplify the comparison the author was trying to make.
