"In this piece, I created flowers to represent nature, which is what our National parks hold. Since I am from California, I decided to do the flowers an orange colors like the California state flower. I decided to add the roots because we've come this far, and the farther we go, the deeper our roots become. I drew the flowers in a way where you can see how they grow, just to symbolize the life of a flower, because, why not?" - Stephanie Gutierrez Sanchez
