All original work is handmade by me in my home studio in Seattle, WA. I've had a lifelong love for creating art, and my grandma taught me watercolors when I was very little.

The coming midterm elections feel different this year: the energy surrounding them is unlike anything I can remember, and I am inspired by so many volunteers' tireless efforts to get out the vote. Contributing to this movement with my art feels especially meaningful right now! I hand drew the outlines of this illustration with pencil and ink, then added color digitally using a tablet. I decided to make drawings of my cats, who feature in other illustrations of mine, because I wanted to give voting a fun and whimsical vibe. I hope to inspire everyone who can to vote this year! - Chelsea Vaught
