Artist Statement

"I tend to favor photography over illustration; minimalism over ornamentation. One of the main elements in this story is a river across which our hero must journey along with a ferryman that he encounters. I wanted to use a picture of a river, but not one you'd find in a brochure. The clear surface and rocks lend an air of serenity and it only becomes obvious it's a river when you see the reflection." - Scott Saslow

A native of the Sunshine State, graphic designer Scott Saslow is a magna cum laude graduate of Florida Atlantic University's Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters. Interested in graphic design from a young age, he finally decided to back to school after studying film production and working a variety of temp jobs, including movie studio file clerk, background TV extra, and NASA test subject (really!). His other hobbies include reading, pop culture and assorted nerdery, and spending time with family and friends. You can find him on social media and view his portfolio at scottsaslow.com.

About our Prints

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The matte paper and high quality of inks make for a vibrant image which looks great both framed, and au-naturel. Printed in Los Angeles, CA, on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper, heavyweight stock, high color gamut, using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. Framed posters offer the same, museum-quality printed poster, but wrapped in a protective black frame. The frame is lightweight and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector, so it won't break in the mail. International orders may be subject to customs duties & taxes.
