Even though the arctic circle is shared by 8 different countries, the population of people who live within the frozen circle is less than 4 million total. That is less than half of New York Cities population. So unfortunately, the environmental concerns of the arctic are often summed up by: out of sight, out of mind. But, one who is acutely aware of the changes in the climate and arctic environment is the Polar Bear, whose population is rapidly decreasing.
