Artist Statement

Darwin’s considered and accessible account of why animals exist in the forms they do is not only one of the most important scientific studies, it’s also a delightful read. I made this cover design from my bird series Sing Chronos City to revisit his seminal title for modern eyes. — Adam Doyle
