Children: Our Future Generations by Jen Kruch

Artist Statement

"What makes America great? Our children. They are our future, and they will inherit our earth and our problems. I am constantly amazed that the environment and healthcare remain partisan issues. Our future generations deserve to live long and healthy lives, and to have the opportunity to help make America, and the world, a better place." - Jen Kruch

I am an illustrator, designer, and letterpress printer living in the Bay Area. I am also one-half of Shipwright & Co., a letterpress company I started in 2013 with a good friend. We print each piece by hand on a Chandler & Price letterpress that dates back to 1911, and hand-trim each piece on a giant antique Guillotine paper cutter from the 1930s. The majority of work created for clients at Shipwright & Co. begins with custom illustrations we create, which are then transformed into one-of-a-kind and handmade printed pieces.

About our Prints

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The matte paper and high quality of inks make for a vibrant image which looks great both framed, and au-naturel. Printed in Los Angeles, CA, on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper, heavyweight stock, high color gamut, using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. Framed posters offer the same, museum-quality printed poster, but wrapped in a protective black frame. The frame is lightweight and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector, so it won't break in the mail. International orders may be subject to customs duties & taxes.

What Makes America Great is a collection of designs celebrating the things that our artists believe make America truly great. Proceeds support DreamCorps, a social justice accelerator founded by Van Jones that advances economic, environmental, and criminal justice solutions.
