Artist Statement

"The refugee crisis that is happening now is a little quite different, its not only the youth that are fleeing now, those who are infants and babies most importantly those who are still in their moms embryos who don't have any clue about what going on but with a greater expectation of a bright future. Those ones they didn't choose to be a refugees, its their countries bad situation that makes them to flee, to take the journeys that will put their lives at risk. its in our eyes that these refugees are loosing their lives to live a peaceful life to live the light." - Mussie Tsighe

i finished my Diploma course since i was in high school in 2004 in N U E Y S ( national union for Eritrean youth) since that i have been active in paintings and drawings . My recent exhibitions are in April 2014 in khartuom Sudan after i flee from my country. in September 2013 in Asmara Eritrea.

We Were Strangers Too is a collection of designs showing how diverse and universal the refugee experience truly is. Proceeds support the Anti-Defamation League, the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency, fighting anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.

About our Prints

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out.
