Artist Statement

In the dry season, Shark Valley in Everglades National Park is home to many creatures. The area, composed mainly of large expanses of oolitic limestone, is inhabited by alligators, ibis, wood storks, spoonbills, raccoons, and white tailed deer to name a few. This image was taken from the Shark Valley overlook which gives an amazing vista of the Everglades for miles around. The overlook was originally constructed 1965 as an observation-fire tower. ‰ÛÓ Silvia Ros
