In my first year in community college our teacher had us read A Doll's House, and it was probably my favorite thing we read the whole semester! I thought it was really interesting, especially considering when it came out, so I jumped at the chance to make a piece for it. There's comparisons in the book equating Nora to a bird or other small and cute animals so I figured I'd run with that. I thought I would try the birdcage imagery, but with her being constrained by it and essentially bursting out; something akin to her departure at the end of the play. - Raymond Abad
