"I chose to illustrate this mission because the pilot, Valentina Tereshkova, was the first female in space. Being a female and seeing that Creative Action Network is in partnership with SpaceHorizons, I thought it was fitting. The dove (or seagull as Tereshkova would refer to it) is significant because it was on her original mission patch, and her code name was "Seagull". Also, she was the first to wear a mission patch into space. I used an iPad Pro with the program Protosketch to create my design." - Ariana deVries
I am a 26 year old wife and mom. I live in Ontario, Canada, and am proud to call it home. I have loved art, design and all things beautiful for as long as I can remember. Colour makes me happy, laughing is my favourite, and making others smile is my goal. My hope is to inspire others to love life more.
