Graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, art director, trying my best to think coloring inside the lines is overrated, based in Dallas, TX. Graduated from the St. Mark’s School of Texas. Studying at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Hobbies include, but aren't limited to, classic ink illustration, calligraphy, astrophotography, rock climbing and postcard-collecting. If you google "galacticatlas" you'll find stuff about me and about outer space; one of those is almost as neat as the other.

Artist Statement

Years ago, when the New Horizons mission first launched, Pluto was still a planet and I was in the sixth grade. I remember choosing this mission to do a presentation on in science class and being surprised when I found out that Alan Stern, the man in charge of the mission, was an alumnus of my school. Not only that, but the mission was scheduled to arrive to Pluto the same year that I was to graduate from high school. Just like graduation, reaching Pluto seemed like such a far off goal, but more than 10 years after its launch, here we are. My New Horizons badge features the probe on its approach to the dwarf planet, letting us see its heart on its sleeve, accompanied by 8 other celestial bodies from the solar system. — Zuyva Sevilla
