Artist Statement

NASA's Mars rover Perseverance landed on the Red Planet 18 February 2021. With it it carried Ingenuity, the first helicopter to visit another planet. The landing parachute became famous for it's hidden message compsed in binary code using the colour fields of the fabric, conveying the message "Dare mighty things."It's the JPL (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory) motto, taken from a Theodore Roosevelt speech. - Katarina Eriksson
