Artist Statement

I created a See America poster of Perry's Victory that is located on Put in Bay, a small island in Lake Erie. The monument is the first thing you see when you take a ferry to the islands. I have a few childhood memoirs of visiting the island with my family. I wanted to express a vibrant look of Perry's Victory in this poster. ‰ÛÓ Kirsten Mischler
