Artist Statement

Marlon Bundo was always left in a very small cage with awful shavings that are hard on a bunny's respiratory system, barely any hay even though a bunny's diet consists of 80% hay, and the poor thing was used as a photo prop and around loud crowds and flashing cameras all the time as well as slippery uncomfortable surfaces high enough for him to get hurt if he got spooked. As a prey animal, bunnies are very skittish and prefer a nice quiet environment and to stay in a room large enough for a dog to exercise in but one that it is familiar with with people he/she is familiar with. They also prefer a water bowl over a bottle as they get more water from it, it is more natural, and they can drink as much as a small dog per day. I'm feelin' the Bern! Which brought me to design this special cause design for all bunnies who are lucky enough to get good homes, and decent bunny parents who would never subject their bunny(s) to the types of conditions the Pence's do to poor Bundo (or worse). All bunnies deserve to be cage free and never treated as a photo op. - Tina Schofield
