Feat of Strength by Liza Donovan

Design By:
Liza Donovan

Liza is a Graphic Designer and artist living in Charlotte, NC. She has always been quite the passionate little art lover and project enthusiast. Not to be discouraged by her very first drawings of gross anatomical displacement, where arms grew out of heads, she honed her technique only to find that arms CAN grow out of heads. She has always turned to art for expression and is inspired by the culture and fashion of the 60s, American post-punk posters, Eastern European poster art, and cats everywhere. Drawn to the nonsensical and playful, Liza insists on work being fun.

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The matte paper and high quality of inks make for a vibrant image which looks great both framed, and au-naturel. Printed in Los Angeles, CA, on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper, heavyweight stock, high color gamut, using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. Framed posters offer the same, museum-quality printed poster, but wrapped in a protective black frame. The frame is lightweight and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector, so it won't break in the mail. International orders may be subject to customs duties & taxes.

Artist Statement

This piece was inspired by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's political rise in 2018 / 2019 where her victory upset in New York earned her the badge of honor, "youngest female ever elected to Congress." A feminist inspiration to the young, People of Color, and people in general, her strength, hard work, & integrity became embodied in her beaten up and failing apart campaign trail shoes which are now in a museum. - Liza Donovan
