I was born in Chicago and after years of living away from the city I finally came back to finish the artistic journey I began here so long ago at Columbia College Chicago! I'm largely interested in making character based art, but I'm trying to find new artistic ways to spread my wings. I've done a lot of fan art of various pop culture characters, superheroes, monsters, and the like! I've been taking more interest in observational drawing so that I might create my own amazing characters!

In my first year in community college our teacher had us read A Doll's House, and it was probably my favorite thing we read the whole semester! I thought it was really interesting, especially considering when it came out, so I jumped at the chance to make a piece for it. There's comparisons in the book equating Nora to a bird or other small and cute animals so I figured I'd run with that. I thought I would try the birdcage imagery, but with her being constrained by it and essentially bursting out; something akin to her departure at the end of the play. - Raymond Abad
