Artist Statement

In Looking-Glass land everything is reversed, I wanted to play with distortion. By flipping and reversing letters within the title, I wanted to reflect upon the journey Alice takes between two realities. The “pulsing” checkered board that has begun to engulf the page, begins to surround the pawn, which symbolizes Alice. — Rachel Barouch
