"I remember walking with my mom and grandmother to the local library in the heat of summer in New Orleans. I was always excited to pick out a new book from the children\'s summer reading list. I enjoyed story time and proudly collected my certificate of completion at the end of the summer! These are memories I cherish. As I look back I acknowledge how special it was that my mom and grandmother would read with me and can even remember some of our favorite stories. As an adult I know how much reading as a child with my loved ones aided my growth and helped me to be successful in school many years later. Thanks Mom and Grammy!
