I loved reading Jules Verne's scientific adventure novels growing up, and decided to design covers for three of his classics - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Around the World in 80 Days. Each book is about an epic adventure to a different portion of the earth (the ocean, the center, and around the circumference), and I created a unifying visual element to tie the designs together. The circle in each illustration represents the earth, and the gradient represents each journey. — Janet Wright
