The sturdy matte paper and premium inks create a vibrant, museum-quality image that looks great both framed and unframed. Posters are printed in Los Angeles, CA on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper heavyweight stock, with a wide color gamut and Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. The framed poster arrives wrapped in a protective yet lightweight black frame and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector that won't break during shipping. I'm a Colombian American artist who creates work for editorial and commercial clients. I feel most complete when I create art that can also be used in conjunction with conversations about inclusion, diversity and equity. My work is an attempt at exploring the dynamics between traditional monotype ink prints and digital techniques, and I draw upon influences such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele, and my own background.

I've studied and worked in the creative industry all my life, including a decade as art director of covers for Newsweek International Magazine. My work has been seen in the Society of Illustrators LA and I've served as a Jury member for the Society of illustrators 53rd Annual. I received my BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and my MFA in Illustration from the Hartford Art School.

Artist Statement

Created as an ode to the WPA travel posters, I exhibited this artwork as part of my MFA Thesis exhibition at the University of Hartford Art School. I am a graduate of the MFA in Illustration program (2020). This work combines traditional monotype ink prints and digital techniques. - Adolfo Valle
