Artist Statement

This is a powerful word, first penned in 1895 at a time when efforts towards women's political equality were growing. It has been since misconstrued and 'demonized' as equating to being anti-male and always pro-abortion. America is great when we embrace the true meaning and resolve of this word - men and women alike embracing feminism and speaking out for true equality. — catherine king
