Artist Statement

"The typeface is P22 1722 based on type used in the U.S. Constitution. The heart shape is intended to look like parchment. This is as if to say a vision of a more perfect Union as hoped for by the Founding Fathers." - Chris Lozos

Chris graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Graphic Design 1966. He has been studying, teaching, practicing, or managing design since then.

About A More Perfect Union

A More Perfect Union, a collection of designs celebrating our slightly more perfect union following the United States Supreme Court affirming the constitutional right of all couples to get married in all 50 states. Proceeds support Courage Campaign, an online community powered by more than one million members, instrumental in the fight for marriage equality.

About our Prints

Each poster is hand-printed and handled, to make sure that only the highest quality is offered and sent out. The matte paper and high quality of inks make for a vibrant image which looks great both framed, and au-naturel. Printed in Los Angeles, CA, on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper, heavyweight stock, high color gamut, using Epson UltraChrome HDR ink-jet technology. Framed posters offer the same, museum-quality printed poster, but wrapped in a protective black frame. The frame is lightweight and includes a shatter-resistant acrylite front protector, so it won't break in the mail. International orders may be subject to customs duties & taxes.
