Artist Statement

The currently unnamed Europa Mission is a planned NASA mission to send a probe to examine Jupiter's moon, Europa, in the 2020s. The mission's main purpose is to determine whether Europa has conditions that could support life. The moon's icy surface is thought to have liquid water oceans beneath it. My design focusses on the moon, and the background is split in two to represent the layer of ice over water. — Ben Farrow
