Artist Statement

This mission patch design is in the style of photographs taken on the Lunar surface and is the third in a set of similarly coloured patches for the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon. It depicts an astronaut stood on the lunar surface alongside the US flag, complete with the crosses found in camera viewfinders and a polaroid style outer frame. — Simeon Fry
