"Reducing the gap between the wealthiest Americans and low-wage workers is one of the greatest challenges we face in our country today. Unfortunately, we have been fighting this battle for a very long time. The design of the piece uses colors, texture, and shapes--including a modified Rosie the Riveter pose--to evoke an understanding of the struggle and to call upon the memory of those who have fought for labor rights for so many decades. Hopefully, this piece can serve as a sort of rallying cry for all of the domestic, construction, and fast food workers that I see every day. To the farm workers, the nurses, municipal workers, and all others who are struggling to bring home a living wage through the honest hard work, I salute you!" - Michael Czerniawski

About We Can Do It!
We Can Do It! is a collection of designs inspired by the iconic “We Can Do It” poster of the 1940's to celebrate modern-day workers (women and men alike) who keep the country running and rarely receive the recognition they deserve. Proceeds support Ultraviolet, a powerful and rapidly growing community of people from all walks of life mobilized to fight sexism and expand women's rights.
