Artist Statement

So often, we get caught up with societal definitions of love - basically, the fact that it is a feeling mean for another human being - that we forget to love ourselves. A love for oneself is a love to be mastered; something crucial before we are capable of loving others. At the very core of that love is our beautiful, unique ability to imagine. This illustration seeks to bring out that very virtue - our singular, limitless capability to create whatever our minds can conjure. In doing so, our passions are ignited, futures created; most crucially, our hearts are unlocked - ready to love freely. — Wei Tai Poh
