I live and work in San Francisco, California with my wife and son. I paint and sculpt. Occasionally I illustrate books or articles in magazines. I also paint murals. I think mystery and the unknown are undervalued and also inspiring. My interpretations of the world are mostly rooted in nature and it's also where I find inspiration which I then, express through my art. www.jeffpetersen-art.com

Artist Statement

In this image I tried to personify the Earth in an attempt to make a point that we share with it similar systems- water (blood), air (breath) and soil (body). And that only through action can keep them healthy by voting on issues that protect and preserve the planet. Wood cut, 12`` x 12`` Font is Poplar Std — Jeff Petersen
