Artist Statement

As a Christian graphic designer working in the reddest state of the Union, some might think I\'m in an odd position to be in favor of marriage equality. But I believe that my faith teaches, perhaps above all, the virtues of justice and kindness. Marriage equality in no way infringes on my right to be a follower of Christ, and because of that it feels wrong to use my faith as an obstruction of rights to others. That is why I feel that this project is important and I believe that taking the step towards marriage rights for all is a step towards a more perfect union. — J.D. Reeves
