This piece was created to honor young leaders across the country have been stepping up to take action against the senseless violence that's happening everywhere. It's inspired by Marlee Kanosh who brings people together in their grief and fights for recognition that Native Lives Matter. It's inspired by Maxine Wint who along with other Chicago youth organized the Chicago Youth Sit-In and March Against Police Brutality and Youth for Black Lives. It's inspired by Emma Gonzales who survived the Parkland Florida shooting and has spoken out strongly for gun control with fellow students. They are examples of courage over fear. - Jennifer Bloomer
