I decided to reinterpret the figure Qin Shi Huang, first great Chinese emperor, who won over almost all the Chinese territories of the age of Sun Tzu: he was an example of how apply all the suggestions of Sun Tzu's book on the battlefield. In this portrait I've tried to modernize the dress with a pattern of clouds, based on the real uniform used by the Chinese army of nowadays. This means that although this book is from the IV b.C. century, its content is still useful and effective in the modern times. Speaking about the technic, first I've drawn by hand the lines with ink, inspirited by the Chinese art. Then I've painted all on the computer. On the background I put a layer of scroll, as a tribute to the original book. - Giacomo Zecchi
