Artist Statement

This illustration is a part of a series of inspirational women. Drawn in my classic, "Drawing Meditation" style, this piece features the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Like many illustrators and artists, I was moved to create a tribute to RBG, as a small thank you, for all that she has done and fought for. As a female, US-American born artist, I am moved, inspired, and in awe of all that she accomplished and sacrificed in her life. Through our art, actions, and commitment to vote, she lives on in each and every one of us who are continuing the fight for equality. Thank you RBG! - Kaitlyn Parker
