Artist Statement

This remains one of my favorite illustrations — encapsulating in a single graphic so much of what I hoped to communicate about the climate crisis over the last decade. I see myself and my fellow climate activists like 350.org, Sunrise Movement, and Extinction Rebellion as canaries in the climate coal mines. We are highly sensitive to the issue, and gravely concerned about the existential dangers we all face. Can we raise our voices loudly enough? Can we eclipse the fossil fuel industry in time to mitigate the worst effects on civilization and all living systems? - Luke Massman-Johnson
