Nur Art My name is Luz, in arabic is Nur, it means light, and light is what I want to lend to other people with my art. I am 23 years old and I live around Canary Islands in a sailboat with my boyfriend. During our trips on the vessel, we have seen marvelous things of nature, and with my draws I want to transmit what i feel, how incredible is this world and the importance to take care of it. I want a place where the respect and admiration are the first value, where the love moves everything, where humans, animals and nature live in harmony, this is my target.

Artist Statement

Oceans are an enormous rubbish dump right now. 830 millions of tones of non biodegradable debris: bags, cans, cigarettes, fishing nets... polluting and becoming deadly traps, breaking the natural course of the ecosystems and threatening all the creatures that live and depend on the oceans and risking their survival in our planet. Minimizing the use of single use plastic and avoiding the consumption of harmful products for the environment are some of the little first steps that we can do, to spread and environmental awareness culture and help all these magic creatures and their home. - Nur Art
