Artist Statement

I really wanted to give the sense that we are focused so much on taking from the Earth that we should really start focusing on giving back to it. Planting seeds, growing trees, restoring rivers, should be a growing focus in saving our beautiful planet. "Trees are sometimes called the lungs of the Earth because they absorb pollutants through their leaves, trapping (or “sequestering”), and filtering contaminants in the air. Like all green plants, trees also produce oxygen through photosynthesis." -National Wildlife Federation — Nicole Barr
