I grew up spending summers on family road trips visiting the National Parks. My first drawings were of Kachina dolls, local wildlife and adventures in the desert. Of course I also collected stamps in my NP passport. (I still do.) I have my degree in Graphic Design and Business Management. Follow my art and my adventures on Instagram @AlexisHickox

Artist Statement

This piece is inspired by the colors of the Painted Desert and the everlasting imprint the Petrified Forest left me. Perhaps one can also see the homage to the Hopi's hoops in the composition? Ultimately, I hope this piece inspires people to visit this mystical and enchanting place. ‰ÛÓ Alexis Hickox
