Artist Statement

This illustration is a part of my diploma project at The Belarusian State Academy of Arts, Graphics Department (Belarus, Minsk / 2011) The idea was to create illustrations of Slavic folklore wood creatures for the Mythological Encyclopedia. There were included such characters as Wood Goblin, Imp, Dryad, Kikimora, Mermaid, Fern Flower, Vodyanoy, Naiad and Werewolf – the hero of our campaign. All these illustrations were originally made as lithographies. — Nadzeya Makeyeva
