Artist Statement

At first I made an earlier and more simple version of this design as a logo proposal for a client project. A mobile app startup that didn't survive long after the first investment run (never launched in public). When I looked at my sketches some months later, I realized that there was a lot of potential in the shapes. As I am a huge lover of nature and animals, I decided to work further on the designs in a way that suited the connection that I've always felt with the great wolves. Of course because the beauty of how their packs function, but also because they have a great and mysterious mixture of attraction between delicacy (their presence is not self-evident) and power. A great and magical mix that made me fell in love with these creatures. With this design I've tried hard (modified it for weeks) to catch that particular magical mix of attraction: fragility and power in one design. — Michiel Gerbranda
