Artist Statement

October 10, 1972 San Juan Puerto Rico was inducted into a very prestigious roster of National Treasures. The United States National Historic Landmark District designated San Juan Puerto Rico within the U.S. National Register of Historic places. Now, on the eve of San Juan's 45 year anniversary, we unite together as United States to encourage our fellow American Citizens to continue to sing America; in the wake of damage from hurricane flooding throughout all of Puerto Rico. The design contains an actual photograph I took at the parking garage in Old San Juan. This garage had murals and Historic photos telling the story of the rich culture of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This design is to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Puerto Rico, and to help with the rebuilding and restoration of a National and Global treasure. ‰ÛÓ Ginnie McKnight
