I remember, as a child, my disappointment at the negative portrayal of wolves in fairy tales. Now, I am astonished at how they continue to be hunted to extinction in many different parts of the world. I am so happy to have a chance in helping reverting stereotypes on these amazing animals . My artwork was inspired by the successful reintroduction of the wolf in Yellowstone National Park. This amazing event, known as Trophic Cascade, turned into a real life modern fairy tale, as wolves helped restoring balance in the park, generating a positive impact on wildlife, vegetation, and the river itself. I have added my 10 year old to the image to signify hope for the future generations, as they will be the most affected by environmental issues. — Sara Mauri
