Art on a Mission: Brett uses her art as a vehicle to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our beautiful planet. Brett donates 10% of proceeds from sales of her art to wildlife and environmental conservation, and animal welfare.

Artist Statement

I was blessed with the opportunity to do portraits of four Wolves of Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary. During my visit to the sanctuary, I fell in love with all of the animals, but found Lapua, the subject in this piece, to be especially dichotomous in that she has quintessential wolf-like features and piercing yellow-green eyes, yet is funny and a bit of a clown. Still a puppy, she is playful and full of energy. I imagine she may grow up to be a God-dess among her companions. The Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary series was developed to raise awareness about wolf conservation, and raise money for the sanctuary. — Brett Blumenthal
