Artist Statement

It is supremely important that we exercise our right to vote. Until more of us vote, we will continue to get candidates that do not truly represent the average U.S. citizen. This election, it is particularly vital that voters in the swing districts make themselves heard. I created this piece to have a similar feel to the old Greetings from Chicago postcards, since the 6th district is made up of Chicago suburbs. The color scheme and the overall design is inspired by those vintage postcards. - Michael Czerniawski
