Artist Statement

The Salado culture lived in the ruins at the Tonto Monument during the 13th-15th centuries. This is a fascinating place to visit. As you look at the ruins, you can imagine all the people who lived there, creating their wildly beautiful pottery and surviving in an arid habitat. ‰ÛÓ Sheri Emerson
