Artist Statement

What inspired me to create my wolf design, was the duality of nature: the beauty and the beast; delicate and strong; meek and fierce. Wolves, having an important role in aiding each other in the ecosystem in which they reside. I wanted to portray the wolf by capturing its power and strength alongside natures\' reliance with these beautiful creatures. Without the two there is no balance, harmony, survival. I conveyed my passion through ink and watercolor, wanting to make a hip and cool design that would be fun to communicate the importance with this crossing duality of wolves and nature. — Colin Hewitt
